Valentine's Day is tomorrow!
Here's a simple way to let your friends and family know what they mean
Here's what you need to make these cute pouches:
1. Heart Doilies (I used 6 inch ones that I found at the dollar store, but any size will work.)
2. Tulle or other fabric
3. Valentine Candy
4. Ribbon (1/4 inch works perfect, but a little smaller would work as well.)
Here's how to put it together:
1. Cut the ribbon after going around the doily about 2 times.
2. Using at least 2 doilies facing each other (I doubled up to make them a little more sturdy), start weaving the ribbon in-and-out of the outside holes. (Make sure you don't go up too high on either sides--it will cause the heart to bunch up at the end if you do.)
3. You should have extra ribbon coming out at both ends.
4. Using 2 layers of tulle, cut the tulle a little larger than the heart.
5. Put candy in the center of the tulle and bring up the edges to form a little "baggy". Tie this baggy with ribbon and place inside of the doily "pouch" you have just created. Finally, tie the extra ribbon on each side to make a little handle at the top.
*If you do use 6 inch hearts, you can't fit that much candy in it. The picture above in #5 shows way too much candy to actually fit! I learned the hard way and had to re-do it!

(Oh and one more thing! Don't forget to become a FOLLOWER and leave a comment saying you did so before THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16 at midnight for a chance to win a $25 PARTY in a box of YOUR CHOICE!)
