Hello! I’m Kaci Uipi, editor-in-chief and founder of Parties by Kaci. Starting at a very young age, I’ve always had a love of cooking and entertaining. After high school, I attended cooking school at the Culinary Institute of America in NY and immediately began working in fine restaurants such as Melisse in Santa Monica. I also began to do dinner parties and help with large weddings.

I then took some time off to serve an 18 month mission for the LDS Church to Argentina, and work as a nanny. However, I always seemed to go back to cooking and putting together parties for whomever I worked.

As I was styling a very lavish, over–the–top party for a little girl one day I thought, “This party is going to be incredible, but how many people have the time or money to actually do something like this?” Then it came to me—I had the perfect idea! Why don’t I show people how to put together their very own, simple yet cute parties for only $25?! Who can’t afford $25 right? Go here to learn more about my $25 Parties.

Besides working on parties for clients, or party shoots for my blog, I write on the subject of grief and losing children. Our son, Joshua, passed away when he was a month old due to a rare genetic disease called CGD. Go here to read his complete story.

I currently reside in Phoenix, AZ with my wonderful and very patient husband, Salesi.
